Culver City, CA, July 16th, 2008- Servicon Systems, Inc. would like to announce the recent promotion of Laurie Sewell to the position of President. She will be replacing Terry Sweeney, who after twenty-five years as Servicon’s president has decided to move on. “I will miss working at Servicon with the people I have come to know and respect very well,” said Terry Sweeney, “and after all we have accomplished during my tenure, I could not recommend anyone more highly than Laurie Sewell to lead Servicon to new heights as president of the company.”

Mrs. Sewell has been an employee of Servicon for over two decades, and throughout the past twenty years has worked in every division within the organization. She has developed Servicon’s Quality Assurance Program and was the head of Pacifica Consulting Services, the Supply and Equipment Division of Servicon, which received numerous Supplier Awards under her management. As the director of Servicon’s Green Strategic Initiative, Laurie was on the Stakeholder and review committee for GS 42, Green Seal’s Environmental Standard for Cleaning Services, and ISSA’s Cleaning Industry Management Standard. Beyond her work for Servicon, Mrs. Sewell was the Pacific Southwest District Director for the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA). She is a frequent author for industry magazines, a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Sanitary Maintenance Magazine, and a panelist/speaker for industry events.

In her tenure within Servicon thus far, Laurie “more than any other person has catapulted Servicon into the 21st century, and has pet it on the cutting edge in industry practices, making Servicon a leader in Green Cleaning and Quality Control.” Michael Mahdesian, the Chairman of the Board at Servicon, stated “nobody knows Servicon from top to bottom better than Laurie Sewell,” and her unparalleled experience will undoubtedly be one of her greatest assets as she takes charge of all day-to-day operations within the organization.
